Air Pressure Replacement Kit Directions
Air pressure replacement kit - Includes three pieces shown below
1. Air valve with pressure release valve
2. Bladder pump that forces air into air bladders
3. Upgrade silicone air line 7" long that will not deteriorate from exposure to sunlight over time
Directions for installing replacement kit
Replacing latex rubber airline from plastic "T" to air valve with silicone airline
1. Remove side foam pads.
2. Remove screw holding EPS Styrofoam side padding with cavity for earmuff. Pull side pad back and forth gently until they comes out.
3. Remove chin pad cover and chin pad. It might be glued in. Stick butter knife between front pad and helmet shell and twist to release glue. Remove chin padding. The plastic "T" shown below will be exposed. Remove tape holding plastic T in place.
4. Pull off damaged rutted rubber line from sun exposure.
5. Install new silicone line from "T" to air valve in front pad as shown below. Silicone line will not rot from sunlight exposure or chemical exposure and will never need to be replaced again in the future.
6. Reinstall front pad.
7. Reinstall right side Styrofoam pad shown below and install screw into shaft nut on right side.
8. Reinstall left side Styrofoam pad and install screw to shaft nut on left and right side. Make sure new air line is installed in slotted location shown below on the left side of the front pad.
9. Make sure air lines from air bladders are in the air line grove provided on the back side of side pads.
10. Reinstall new silicone 3/16" airline attached to air valve to air valve clamp on left side of the helmet shown below.
11. Reinstall chin pad cover.
